Maa Inti Bangaaram Achieves Rs 10.7 Crore Global Collection on Day 1

Maa Inti Bangaaram, the latest action drama featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has made a noteworthy debut at the box office. The film is reported to have collected Rs 5.35 crore nett within India on its opening day, with the total gross collection in the country estimated at approximately Rs 6.20 crore, inclusive of taxes. It was shown across 2,658 shows nationwide, contributing to a strong start for the film.

Adding to its success, the film garnered an additional Rs 4.50 crore gross from overseas audiences, bringing the overall global gross to Rs 10.70 crore on its first day. The Telugu version of the film was a significant contributor, earning Rs 5.15 crore nett with an occupancy rate of around 37 per cent across 2,040 shows. Meanwhile, the Tamil version contributed Rs 20 lakh nett from 618 shows, registering nearly 15 per cent occupancy.

The film’s regional appeal was most pronounced in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it achieved a gross collection of Rs 4.75 crore. Karnataka followed with earnings of Rs 90 lakh, while Tamil Nadu brought in Rs 38 lakh. The performance reflects strong regional support, especially in the Telugu film market.

Occupancy Trends and Screening Details

The occupancy rates for the Telugu 2D version showed an upward trend throughout the day, beginning with 26.15 per cent during morning screenings and peaking at 51.38 per cent during night shows. The premium EPIQ format of the Telugu version performed exceptionally well, achieving an overall occupancy of 96 per cent, with Hyderabad experiencing near-capacity audiences, particularly during evening and night screenings.

Detailed occupancy figures indicate a diverse audience engagement. During morning shows, the Telugu 2D version reported an occupancy of 26.15 per cent, which increased to 40.15 per cent in the evening. Night screenings saw the highest attendance, reaching 51.38 per cent. The EPIQ format’s morning occupancy was slightly higher at 98 per cent, gradually adjusting throughout the day and hitting 100 per cent during night shows.

This gradual rise in occupancy suggests strong audience interest, particularly for the evening and night segments, indicating that word-of-mouth may play a crucial role in sustaining the film’s box office momentum.

Maa Inti Bangaaram marks Samantha’s return to leading roles in Telugu cinema after her previous project, Kushi. The film is produced under her banner, with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru serving as co-producers. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy and features a talented ensemble cast including Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gautami, Manjusha, and Sreemukhi in prominent roles.
