Lara Dutta Shares Experience of Stressful Days in Dubai Amid Israel-Iran Conflict

The CSR Journal Magazine

Former Miss Universe and actress Lara Dutta recently posted a video on social media detailing her experiences in Dubai amidst the current Israel-Iran conflict. Dutta, who has been living in Dubai for the past three years, expressed her gratitude to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government for ensuring the safety and protection of its residents during this tumultuous time.

In her video, Dutta revealed that she has been in Dubai since the onset of the conflict and is currently accompanied by her daughter, while her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, is traveling for work. She noted that her familiarity with the city made this shocking experience all the more surreal. “We have been in Dubai since the start of this Israel-Iran war. I was actually shooting on the 28th at a studio in Dubai,” she stated.

Living in Uncertainty

Describing the moment she became aware of the escalating conflict, Dutta shared her unsettling experience of hearing explosions while on set. “We started hearing explosions overhead, ran out of the studio, and saw missiles being intercepted. It has been a few, I can’t lie, stressful days. I have my daughter here with me, and thankfully, Mahesh was away for work,” she explained.

Despite the distressing sounds of fighter jets and loud booms reverberating through the city, Dutta mentioned that she has not felt unsafe. She described the experience as unnerving, noting that even though they live in a secure neighborhood, the vibrations from the explosions make it hard to remain calm. “Though we live in a villa in a very safe neighborhood, the windows shake, and it’s unnerving. But I haven’t felt unsafe, not even once,” she added.

Praise for UAE Government’s Response

While addressing the actions taken by authorities, Dutta commended the UAE government for its effective response in safeguarding residents. “The UAE government has done an incredible job. We felt really looked after, regardless of our nationality,” she remarked, expressing a sense of reassurance provided by the local administration. Dutta highlighted the continuity of daily life for many residents
