In Bundi district of Rajasthan, a shocking incident has come to limelight, a young man who has been accused of cheating villagers, was forced to apologize in public in a controversial way.

This case is of Kabri village under Hindoli police station area, where a young man posed as a Village Development Officer (VDO) and manipulated women of the village that they would be benefited under different government schemes. He allegedly cheated them that they would get benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He allegedly even took a token amount in return for giving them benefits. As per the women of the village, he took around Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 for processing the applications.

Shoe licking act went viral

When some villagers grew suspicious over the processing fees and asked him for his identity proof, he became nervous and returned the money he had taken. But the situation became controversial when instead of handing him over to police, villagers made him apologise in public and even forced to lick the sole of a shoe thrice, even though he kept on repeating that he won’t repeat such an act in future. The video of this incident went viral and it was after that this incident came to limelight.

After the video went viral, the accused who humiliated the young man were identified by the police. One accused named Manraj Prajapat, who is a resident of Rein village under Dablana police station and another person is identified as Lokesh Meena. According to police, there has been no formal complaint filed by the villagers, and thus no case was registered against the accused for the alleged fraud. But, after the video went viral, the accused who humiliated the man were cautioned against taking the law into their own hands.
