Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, celebrated the 80th Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at Mahadalit Tola in Patna. The event on August 15 commemorated the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who contributed to India’s struggle for independence. He noted that many individuals attained martyrdom for this cause and expressed respect for the families of these martyrs.

In his address, Choudhary emphasised the importance of acknowledging these sacrifices while reiterating the ongoing responsibility of the current generation. He stated that fulfilling the ambitions both of the Prime Minister and the former Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is essential for the state and the nation.

During the celebration, he urged citizens to collectively focus on the national goal of development and prosperity. Choudhary marked the significance of collaboration and commitment in realising this vision.

Prime Minister Modi’s Vision for a Developed India

Earlier on the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort, affirming his belief that India can emerge as a developed country by the year 2047. He asserted that pursuing this goal requires a unifying effort from all citizens. Modi outlined his vision for ‘Viksit Bharat,’ or a developed India, encouraging the populace to participate actively in bringing this aspiration to fruition.

He described India’s emergence as the world’s most populous country as a pivotal moment, urging citizens to showcase their resolve. Modi articulated that when India takes a resolute stand towards development, it captures global attention and respect. He called for a sense of national pride and collective ambition among citizens.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister also highlighted that the greatness of a nation is rooted in its dreams, determination, and resilience. He called for citizens to elevate their ambitions, stating that smaller aspirations are no longer adequate. By embracing larger dreams, he argued, Indians will expand their perspectives and envision broader pathways to success.

Both political leaders conveyed a strong message about the importance of shared responsibility in the development of India. CM Choudhary’s remarks were aligned with PM Modi’s call for combinatorial efforts to realise the vision for a prosperous future.
