Deepotsav 2025: Ayodhya Set to Shine with Ramayana-Inspired Art Under Yogi Government

The CSR Journal Magazine

Ayodhya is buzzing with excitement as preparations for Deepotsav 2025 are in full swing. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the city is embracing its spiritual roots while emerging as a cultural and artistic hub. This year, Ayodhya is being transformed into a massive canvas of Ramayana-inspired art, with flyovers, walls, and public spaces vividly decorated with episodes from Lord Ram’s life.

One of the major highlights of this year’s celebration is the artistic transformation of flyovers across the city. The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is overseeing the creation of murals and engravings depicting key moments from the Ramayana, from Lord Ram’s birth and exile, to Ravana’s defeat and Ram-Sita reunion. These artworks are being created by skilled artists from both local and national platforms, adding rich visual depth to Ayodhya’s spiritual story.

3D Murals Bring Ram Katha to Life

At key points like Saadatganj, Naka, Devkali, and Saket petrol pump, 3D murals are being installed on walls and flyovers. These artworks aim to allow passersby to immerse themselves in the Ram Katha visually. Similar efforts are underway in various parts of the city, turning Ayodhya’s everyday infrastructure into a storytelling medium.

Walls Reflect Ayodhya’s Rich Heritage

Main roads, temples, and public buildings in Ayodhya are being painted with vibrant scenes from the Ramayana. Artistic depictions include Hanuman’s Lanka Dahan, Sita’s abduction, and the dialogue between Ram and Lakshman. Artists explain that these murals blend traditional and modern styles to enhance cultural engagement and spread spiritual messages to the masses.

Ram Temple Area Becomes Cultural Focal Point

According to ADA Vice Chairman Ashwani Pandey, engraved divine figures near the Ram Temple and surrounding areas are turning this Deepotsav into a uniquely divine experience. The glow of countless lamps, along with these artistic creations, is offering a heavenly view that has captivated locals and tourists alike, many of whom are sharing the scenes widely on social media.

This year’s Deepotsav 2025 aims to set new records in celebration. Millions of lamps will light up the banks of the Saryu River, accompanied by laser shows, cultural performances, and Ramleela enactments. The Yogi government is working to present Deepotsav not just as a religious event, but as a global celebration of Indian heritage.
