“Blue Drum Murder 2.0”: 11-Year-Old Found Dead at Home with a Slit Throat

The CSR Journal Magazine

The tragic incident involving the murder of an 11-year-old boy has emerged from Satna, Madhya Pradesh, sending shockwaves through the local community. The boy was found dead in his home, reportedly with his throat slit, inside a blue drum. The child’s mother, Asha, and her daughter returned home on Monday to a scene of horror that left them devastated.

Upon arriving, Asha noticed the house was locked from the outside while the cooler was still operational and the lights were on. Anxious about her son, who had just concluded his Class 5 exams, she attempted to open the door but received no response. A growing sense of unease led her to search the area, praying to find him safe nearby.

Initially, Asha suspected her husband, known for having a volatile temperament, might have taken the boy somewhere. However, as time passed with no news, Asha reached out to the police for assistance. Officers arrived shortly after and forced entry into the residence, discovering a gruesome scene that no one could have anticipated.

Grim Evidence Uncovered

Inside the home, blood was visible on the walls and a pillow, intensifying the horror of the situation. One concerning object in the room was a blue plastic drum located in a corner, from which blood was reported to be leaking. When police opened the drum, Asha’s worst fears were confirmed: her child’s lifeless body was stuffed inside, partially concealed by clothes.

In the wake of this discovery, Asha’s suspicions turned towards a local laundry shop owner, identified as Mathura Rajak. The fact that his shop was closed on the day of the incident provoked her concerns further, as family members suggested that Rajak had been persistently proposing marriage to Asha, only to be rejected repeatedly.

Asha’s daughter spoke to media outlets, alleging that Rajak sought to marry their mother against her will and that the murder was an act of vengeance stemming from these rejections. She claimed that her brother’s throat had been cut with a sickle, underscoring the brutal nature of the crime.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Response

As the investigation continues, local law enforcement has mobilised three specialized teams to locate Mathura Rajak, who remains at large. Evidence has been collected from the crime scene by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), and the boy’s body has been dispatched for a post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause of death.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shivensh Singh stated that police acted swiftly upon receiving the report, confirming the use of a sharp weapon in the murder, though he refrained from publicly identifying the specific implement. The investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and further legal actions will be determined based on forthcoming testimonies and evidence.

The community, already shaken by prior incidents linked to the infamous blue drum, is left grappling with grief and fear in the aftermath of this horrific event. As police efforts proceed, local residents are hoping for a swift resolution to bring the responsible parties to justice.
