The features were listed as available in the device’s Settings app. However, it has been confirmed that this rollout occurred prematurely, as Apple had not yet secured the necessary regulatory approval for these features in the Chinese market. According to reports, the features that appeared were not linked to the beta version of iOS 26.5. Apple recognized its error and swiftly removed the features from user access. Furthermore, Apple has indicated that it does not plan an imminent launch for these capabilities in the region.

Compliance Issues with Chinese Regulations

Some of the features that were mistakenly revealed contravene existing Chinese regulations. For instance, one of the features involves using Google’s reverse image search, which is prohibited in China.
