A chilling murder case has surfaced from Chiluvuru village in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district, adding to a growing list of shocking spousal crime stories reported across India in recent months. Police allege that a woman, Lakshmi Madhuri, murdered her husband with the assistance of her lover, staging the crime as a natural death.

The Conspiracy Behind the Murder

According to investigators, Madhuri had been involved in an extramarital relationship and allegedly planned the murder of her husband, Lokam Shiv Nagaraju, an onion trader by profession. On the night of the incident, she reportedly cooked biryani for Nagaraju and mixed intoxicating substances into the food. After consuming the meal, Nagaraju allegedly lost consciousness.

Execution of the Plan

Police say that around 11:30 pm, Madhuri’s alleged lover, identified as Gopi, arrived at the couple’s house. Investigators claim that Gopi restrained Nagaraju by sitting on his chest, while Madhuri suffocated him using a pillow. Nagaraju reportedly died within minutes due to asphyxiation. After confirming his death, Gopi left the house, leaving Madhuri alone with her husband’s body.

Bizarre Behaviour Raises Suspicion

What followed reportedly shocked even seasoned investigators. Police allege that Madhuri remained in the house throughout the night, sitting near her husband’s body and watching pornographic videos on her mobile phone. In the early hours of the morning, around 4 am, she called neighbors and claimed that Nagaraju had died of a heart attack.

Truth Uncovered by Autopsy

However, neighbors and friends were unconvinced. They were aware of frequent disputes between the couple and Madhuri’s alleged affair. When Nagaraju’s friends noticed blood stains near his ear and visible injuries, they alerted the police. A post-mortem examination revealed that Nagaraju died due to asphyxiation and had fractures in his chest bones.

Confession and Ongoing Investigation

During sustained interrogation, Madhuri reportedly confessed to the crime and admitted to watching explicit videos after the murder. Police have registered a murder case and are now investigating further angles, including the exact role of the alleged lover and the procurement of intoxicants.
