They noted, “Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun to appear in person before the court on Monday for a hearing. We will provide further details about the matter subsequently.”

Overview of the Incident

This latest update follows the unfortunate incident at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre that attracted significant attention from both the film industry and the general public. The stampede occurred on December 4, 2024, during a special screening where numerous fans gathered to see Allu Arjun.

As the actor arrived, the crowd reportedly grew increasingly restless, with fans attempting to get closer views of him. This surge in enthusiasm led to overcrowding and chaotic conditions outside the theatre, culminating in a stampede that tragically resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi. Her son, Sri Teja, sustained critical injuries and required hospitalisation.

The incident raised urgent questions regarding crowd control and security protocols during prominent film events, prompting discussions within the industry and among officials. Following the tragedy, Allu Arjun and his family reached out to support those impacted by the events. The actor personally offered financial assistance to Revathi’s family, while his father, veteran producer Allu Aravind, pledged Rs 2 crores to help the bereaved family.

Legal Proceedings and Investigations

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Chikkadpally Police have listed Allu Arjun as accused number 11 in the case, while the management of Sandhya Theatre has been identified as accused numbers 1 through 10. Reports indicate that the Nampally Court has summoned a total of 19 accused individuals connected to the incident.

Additionally, the police have already filed a chargesheet against 23 individuals exploring the circumstances surrounding the stampede. These proceedings are expected to delve into various elements, including crowd management strategies and factors that may have contributed to the overwhelming situation at the theatre.

The legal proceedings will serve as a thorough examination of all elements pertaining to the case, with the aim of identifying potential lapses in safety measures. As the date for Allu Arjun’s appearance approaches, eyes remain on the court to see how the case unfolds and what implications it may have for future events in the film industry.
