14-Year-Old Kidnapped, Electrocuted, and Poisoned to Death in Unnao for Throwing Stone at Pet Dog

The CSR Journal Magazine

A horrifying case of brutality has emerged from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, where a 14-year-old boy, Hrithik Yadav, was allegedly abducted, tortured, electrocuted, and poisoned to death after an incident involving a pet dog. The death has triggered outrage, leading to protests and calls for justice, with political leaders stepping in to demand swift action.

Kidnapping and Brutal Torture

The incident unfolded when Hrithik was returning home after attending a religious Ram Katha event at a nearby village. As he walked through the area, he was chased by a pet dog owned by Vishambhar Tripathi, a local resident. In an attempt to protect himself, Hrithik reportedly threw a stone at the dog and ran away. This act allegedly enraged Tripathi, who, along with his son and two friends, decided to take revenge.

The following day, Hrithik was reportedly abducted by Tripathi and his companions. They dragged him out of his home, subjected him to severe physical abuse, and humiliated him by forcing him to lick their shoes. The abuse escalated when the perpetrators allegedly electrocuted the boy and forced him to consume poison. Some reports suggest that Hrithik may have taken the poison himself under duress.

Death and Allegations of Police Negligence

Hrithik fell seriously ill shortly after the attack. His family rushed him to a district hospital in Unnao before transferring him to a private medical facility, where he was declared dead. The victim’s mother, Asha Yadav, has accused local police of inaction, claiming that the accused, Vishambhar Tripathi, is a powerful gangster who is using his influence to manipulate the investigation and avoid justice for her son.

Political Attention and Calls for Justice

The tragic death of Hrithik has drawn political attention. Samajwadi Party leader Rajesh Yadav visited the victim’s family, offering assurances of justice. Yadav warned that if the local police failed to take decisive action, he would raise the matter with Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, and ensure it was addressed at the national level.

Investigation and Community Outrage

According to local police officer Deepak Yadav, a formal case has been registered based on the family’s complaint. Hrithik’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway. The case has ignited widespread anger in the community, with residents demanding swift action against the perpetrators and expressing concern about the growing lawlessness in the region.
