A 25-year-old woman was discovered deceased under suspicious circumstances at her residence in RH Colony, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday. The individual has been identified as Andhrapu Krishnaveni, who entered into matrimony with Andhrapu Murali, a relative, on May 13, 2026. This tragic incident occurred only 40 days following their wedding.

Reports indicate that the couple had been residing in a rented property within the PM Palem area for approximately 20 days after their marriage. Andhrapu Murali is employed by a private company in the area, while Krishnaveni was working in a shop located in Gopalapatnam.

On Wednesday morning, Murali returned home from work and discovered Krishnaveni hanging from a ceiling fan. Upon making this distressing discovery, he promptly notified the local authorities about the situation.

Police Investigation Initiated

Following the alarm raised by Murali, senior police officials, including Assistant Commissioner of Police Appalaraju and Circle Inspector Balakrishna, arrived at the scene to conduct an initial inquiry. They collected evidence and pertinent details from the location to facilitate the investigation.

In the meantime, Krishnaveni’s body has been transported to a nearby hospital for a postmortem examination. This critical procedure is aimed at determining the cause of death, which remains unclear at this point.
