Vivo has officially unveiled the T5x 5G in India, marking the successor to the T4x model. This latest smartphone features an impressive 7,200mAh battery, a notable increase from the 6,500mAh battery found in its predecessor. In addition to the enhanced battery, the front camera has also seen a significant upgrade, increasing from 8 megapixels to 32 megapixels. The device will be available in three storage configurations and two color variants, with sales beginning on March 24 through Flipkart.

Specifications and Key Features

The Vivo T5x 5G is equipped with a 6.76-inch Full HD+ LCD display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and can achieve a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The display has received a TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, ensuring reduced blue light emissions. At its core, the smartphone utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, which Vivo claims is capable of achieving an AnTuTu score exceeding one million. The device supports configurations of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Operating on OriginOS 6, Vivo has committed to providing two years of OS updates along with four years of security updates.

In terms of camera capabilities, the T5x 5G includes a main camera with a 50-megapixel Sony AI-powered sensor supported by a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. On the front, the smartphone incorporates a 32-megapixel camera. Both front and back cameras are capable of recording in 4K resolution and come with features such as Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), dual-view video recording, and AI-enhanced editing tools.

With regards to battery performance, the device houses a substantial 7,200mAh battery that supports 44W FlashCharge technology. Vivo states that the battery can reach a 50% charge in approximately 43 minutes. Despite its large capacity, the phone has a weight of 219 grams. Additionally, the device offers reverse charging features, allowing it to act as a power bank, and Vivo assures users of battery health assurance for up to six years.

The T5x 5G also carries IP68 and IP69+ ratings for water and dust resistance. It offers dual stereo speakers that can amplify sound volume by up to 400%. Furthermore, the smartphone incorporates gaming enhancements such as Monster Mode, HyperSense Audio, and 4D vibration support.

Pricing, Color Options, and Availability

The starting price for the Vivo T5x 5G is set at Rs 18,999 for the base model featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The mid-tier models, which include 8GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage, are priced at Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999, respectively. The smartphone will be sold starting March 24 through Flipkart, Vivo’s online store, and various authorized retail locations.

As part of the launch promotions, customers can enjoy an instant discount of up to Rs 2,000 when using HDFC, Axis, SBI bank cards, or UPI for transactions. Additionally, Vivo is offering no-cost EMI options for up to six months. Customers purchasing the device through a Rs 1,199 prepaid plan from Reliance Jio will receive complimentary access to ten OTT platforms for six months. The smartphone will be available in two color choices: Cyber Green and Star Silver.
