A serious altercation in Bhopal resulted in a woman being attacked with a sword by her neighbours while she attempted to file a complaint with the police. This incident took place in the Alamnagar area on the evening of May 30, as the victim, identified as Parveen, was reportedly en route to the local police station to address a prior dispute.

According to the details shared in the complaint by Vakil, also known as Shakeel Khan, the confrontation initially started as a verbal exchange between Parveen and her neighbours, identified as Farheen and her husband Mujahid. The dispute allegedly escalated when Farheen reportedly used abusive language during the heated argument.

Following this incident, Parveen decided to seek assistance from the police. However, as she exited her home and approached a nearby grocery store, the situation turned hostile when Farheen allegedly seized her from behind. Mujahid, according to reports, arrived shortly thereafter wielding a sword and attempted to assault her.

Details of the Assault

As per police reports, Mujahid allegedly targeted Parveen’s neck during the attack. In a bid to defend herself, Parveen raised her hands, resulting in multiple injuries to her left hand, palm, and right thigh. The severity of the attack led to significant blood loss, leaving her in a critical condition.

Local residents, alerted by her cries, rushed to the scene; however, by the time they arrived, Farheen and Mujahid had reportedly fled the area. Witnesses, including Parveen’s mother and other inhabitants of the locality, claimed to have observed parts of the incident unfold.

The attack prompted immediate medical attention for the injured woman, whose condition necessitated treatment for her wounds. Subsequently, police registered a case of attempted murder against the assailants and initiated searches to locate the couple, who are currently at large.
