The Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway has announced a special train service to support students taking the NEET 2026 examination, which is scheduled for June 21. This initiative has been designed to facilitate easier travel for candidates heading to their examination centres, thereby ensuring a comfortable journey on the day of the exam.

Special Train No. 68044 will cover the route between Rourkela and Tatanagar, departing from Rourkela at 05:10 hours and arriving in Tatanagar at 09:20 hours. The timing of this service aims to enable students to arrive in a timely manner for their examinations.

This special train service responds to the logistical requirements of numerous students, highlighting the railway’s commitment to assist those participating in one of India’s most significant entrance exams.

Student-Centric Travel Initiatives

Officials at South Eastern Railway have emphasised that this special train is tailored for the convenience of candidates, helping to reduce stress and potential delays on exam day. The service reflects a broader effort to provide additional support during a critical period for aspiring medical students.

The route will include stoppages at all stations and halts between Rourkela and Tatanagar, maximising accessibility for students travelling from various towns along the route. This comprehensive stopping plan is intended to enhance transportation options for students coming from different locations.

By outfitting the train with multiple halts, the railway authorities are aiming to ensure that more students can benefit from this dedicated service, allowing them to focus on their examination preparations rather than travel concerns.

Ensuring Timely Arrivals for Participants

An essential goal of this special train operation is to guarantee that candidates reach their assigned examination centres well ahead of the reporting time. The early morning schedule, combined with extensive stopping points, is designed to alleviate travel-related anxieties for students and their families.

South Eastern Railway’s efforts aim to provide a reliable means of transportation during a time when smooth travel is crucial. This initiative is particularly significant considering the scale of the NEET examination, which attracts thousands of candidates nationwide.

The introduction of this special train highlights the railway company’s proactive approach to supporting students during an important chapter in their educational journey. By addressing the logistical needs effectively, the service represents a considerable advancement in ensuring that candidates have a seamless experience on exam day.

Through this initiative, South Eastern Railway seeks to ensure both convenience and reliability, allowing students to concentrate on their studies. Preparation and travel can be stressful during significant examinations, and this service is intended to streamline one aspect of the overall experience for NEET participants.
