On August 12, 2026, a tragic accident in Telangana’s Sangareddy district resulted in the death of six individuals, with six others sustaining injuries after an auto-rickshaw collided with a truck. The incident occurred around 8 pm on Tuesday night at Satwar X Road in Satwar village, within the jurisdiction of the Zaheerabad Police Station.

According to officials from the police department, the injured victims were promptly transported to Bidar Government Hospital for treatment. The authorities confirmed that the bodies of those who lost their lives were sent for post-mortem examinations following the collision.

A police representative stated, “Six people lost their lives, and six others were injured after a road accident involving an auto-rickshaw and a truck in Satwar village under Zaheerabad Police Station limits in Sangareddy district.” The local police are currently conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Previous Traffic Incident Reported

On the same day, an earlier accident occurred in the Hydershakote area of Rangareddy district, where a 47-year-old retired Army jawan was killed. This incident involved an unidentified SUV allegedly crashing into three two-wheelers in the early hours of Monday. The accident took place around 5:30 am, under the jurisdiction of the Narsingi Police Station.

As per reports from the Narsingi police, the SUV struck the three two-wheelers before fleeing the scene. The retired Army jawan, identified as Ravinder, was riding his motorcycle when he became a victim of the collision. Two other individuals were also injured in this incident.

A police official detailed the events, stating, “Today in the early morning hours around 5:30 am, an SUV rammed into three two-wheelers near Hydershakote. Two people were injured, and a retired Army jawan, named Ravinder, aged 47, died.” Following the collision, the injured individuals were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The immediate condition of the injured was not disclosed to the press.

The police are actively investigating both accidents to determine the factors that led to these tragedies. Eyewitness accounts and potential surveillance footage from nearby areas are being reviewed as part of the inquiry into the incidents.
