‘Safety And Hospitality Go Together’: Dubai Invites Global Travellers

The CSR Journal Magazine

Dubai has reiterated its position as a safe and open destination for global travellers despite ongoing regional tensions, with senior officials emphasising that tourism operations continue largely uninterrupted across the emirate.

Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, has said that the city remains fully functional, with public services, attractions, and hospitality venues operating as usual. In an interview with Khaleej Times, Kazim highlighted that beaches, shopping centres, and entertainment hubs remain accessible to both residents and international visitors.

While authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation closely, only limited and temporary adjustments have been made in certain areas, with the broader tourism ecosystem continuing to function smoothly.

Safety Remains Central To Dubai’s Approach

Kazim underscored that safety remains at the heart of Dubai’s tourism strategy. He stated that ensuring visitor security is a fundamental priority embedded across all systems and operations in the city.

According to him, Dubai does not treat safety and hospitality as competing priorities but delivers both simultaneously through well-established infrastructure and governance mechanisms. He added that this commitment remains consistent regardless of external developments.

The reassurance comes at a time when travellers across the globe are closely watching geopolitical developments in the Middle East, particularly amid heightened tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

Flights Resume, Connectivity Strengthens

Air connectivity, a critical pillar of Dubai’s tourism economy, has seen a steady recovery. As of April 1, Emirates had resumed flights to more than 65 global destinations, restoring key international links to the region.

Authorities have advised travellers to stay updated through official platforms, including Dubai’s dedicated travel advisory channels, to ensure they have the latest information before and during their trips.

The resumption of flights is expected to play a crucial role in sustaining visitor inflow, particularly as Dubai continues to position itself as a global transit and tourism hub.

Hospitality Sector And Dining Experiences Continue

Dubai’s hospitality sector remains fully operational, with hotels and resorts offering a range of experiences, including staycation deals for residents and international guests. From luxury properties to independent establishments, the sector continues to function with coordinated support from authorities.

Kazim noted that the government is working closely with businesses, adopting a flexible approach rather than a uniform policy, ensuring that each segment of the industry receives tailored support.

Adding to the appeal, the city is currently hosting curated culinary initiatives such as “Dubai, A Fine Way to Dine,” a gastronomy campaign running until April 19. The initiative showcases diverse dining experiences across the emirate, encouraging visitors to explore its culinary landscape.

Dh1 Billion Package To Support Tourism Ecosystem

To further support the tourism and hospitality sectors, Dubai has rolled out a Dh1 billion incentive package aimed at easing operational pressures on businesses.

The measures include deferring payments of sales fees on hotel rooms, food and beverages, as well as the Tourism Dirham for three months. Additional relief has been extended through reduced operational fees, enabling businesses to maintain liquidity while continuing to attract customers.

Dubai recorded a strong performance in 2025, welcoming 19.59 million international overnight visitors. While numbers may face pressure this year due to regional developments, officials remain confident that proactive measures and sustained global connectivity will help maintain the city’s position as a leading travel destination.

As Dubai navigates a complex geopolitical landscape, its message to the world remains clear: the city is open, prepared, and committed to delivering seamless travel experiences.
