A man tragically lost his life in Raipur after attempting to prevent his girlfriend from leaving with another individual. The incident occurred in the Aamanaka area of Chhattisgarh’s capital. The victim, identified as Parampreet Singh, was a businessman who had been in a relationship with the woman for approximately three to four years. Information indicates that both families had already discussed and agreed upon their marriage.

On the day of the incident, Parampreet allegedly spotted his girlfriend with her friend, Bharat Mangnani. This led to a confrontation inside Parampreet’s car, escalating tensions between the three individuals involved. Following the argument, the woman began to leave with Bharat Mangnani, prompting Parampreet to express his objections vehemently.

Confrontation and Fatal Accident

In an attempt to reclaim control over the situation, Parampreet reportedly rammed his car into Bharat’s vehicle. Subsequently, Bharat drove away from the scene, during which Parampreet climbed onto the roof of Bharat’s car in a desperate effort to stop them. As the car sped away, it travelled approximately 200 metres before Parampreet fell onto the road.

Tragically, the car then ran over him, resulting in severe injuries. According to police reports, Parampreet sustained a critical head injury and succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident. Bystanders who witnessed the event alerted the authorities, leading to a swift police response at the scene.

The police immediately took custody of Parampreet’s body for further investigation, while also examining the location and reviewing CCTV footage to gather more details about the incident. Initial findings indicated sufficient grounds to suspect murder, prompting the authorities to file a case for further inquiry.

Ongoing Investigation and Suspect Status

The police have confirmed that a dispute between Parampreet and Bharat Mangnani had occurred prior to the incident, suggesting there might have been an intentional attempt to harm Parampreet with the vehicle. Investigators are working diligently to piece together the exact circumstances and motives leading to the confrontation.

Bharat Mangnani, the driver of the car involved in the incident, remains at large and is currently wanted by the police. Efforts are underway to locate him and bring him into custody for questioning. The authorities are prioritising this case, striving to ensure that justice is served while thoroughly assessing all angles of the incident.
