Actor Urges Authorities to Set a Precedent

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has called on authorities to ensure accountability for those involved in the firing incident related to Tiger Shroff. He emphasised the need for the investigation to serve as a deterrent for future occurrences. Bajpayee described the event as “really scary” and expressed relief that Shroff was unharmed and that his driver was on the mend.

In an interview with ANI, Bajpayee highlighted the unsettling nature of the incident, noting that gunfire from an unknown source can create widespread fear. “I don’t see a gang war, but shots are being fired from who knows where—that’s really scary,” he remarked. He expressed sadness over what had transpired but reiterated his gratitude for Shroff’s safety and the recovery of his driver.

Bajpayee also conveyed hope that the investigation would conclude swiftly, leading to appropriate consequences for those responsible. “From what I’ve heard in the news, the investigation is ongoing. The alleged suspects have been brought to Mumbai, and they’ve been arrested too,” he stated. He added that it is crucial for an example to be set to deter similar actions in the future.

Concerns Over Public Safety

Divya Dutta, another prominent figure, shared her thoughts on the fear generated by such incidents. She articulated that the feeling of safety is a fundamental need for everyone. Dutta remarked, “Unfortunately, hearing it sends a wave of ‘what happened?’ everywhere. We all just want a normal sort of safety. Everyone needs that basic to survive, and it’s really important.”

She acknowledged the unsettling impact of such events on public perception, stating, “When it shakes like that, it absolutely shakes you up, but I’m sure the authorities are looking into it, and Tiger is safe. Yeah, God bless.” Dutta’s comments reflect a broader concern regarding the implications of violence on community wellbeing.

The incident has raised significant alarm among the public, with many citizens expressing their desire for a secure environment. As the investigation unfolds, the focus remains on restoring a sense of safety within the community.

Ongoing Investigation and Arrests

The investigation into the firing incident is progressing, with Mumbai Police reporting a total of ten arrests related to the case. Recently, seven additional suspects were apprehended in Haryana, bringing the number of arrests to ten. Among those arrested, two are reportedly women.

The arrested individuals are expected to be transported to Mumbai for further legal proceedings. Earlier, the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Police had presented three suspects before the Esplanade Court in Mumbai. These individuals were brought from Kota, Rajasthan, around 3 am and underwent medical examinations prior to their court appearance.

The court has remanded all three suspects into police custody until October 31. Authorities are investigating potential connections between the accused, gangster Anil Pandit, and the methods used to transport the weapon into Mumbai. Furthermore, investigators are examining the alleged use of encrypted communication to orchestrate the attack and the suspects’ attempts to evade capture following the shooting.

The incident, which occurred on October 18 in Juhu, involved three men on a motorcycle who opened fire at Shroff’s vehicle. While the actor escaped injury, both his driver and a passer-by sustained wounds. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the incident and ensure justice is served.
