The CSR Journal Magazine

A woman in Rajasthan has been arrested for the alleged murder of her 13-year-old twin sons following her lover’s refusal to accept them. The incident occurred on Dussehra, with the bodies discovered in a field in Deeg district. Police initiated a murder investigation shortly after receiving reports of the children’s deaths, leading to the mother’s arrest within six hours.

According to police reports, the woman had lost her husband some time ago and subsequently moved back to her parental home with her children. During this period, she developed a romantic relationship with a man in her neighbourhood, who reportedly declined to accept the twins from her previous marriage. This rejection is believed to have been a significant factor in the tragic event.

The police have stated that they are exploring the possibility of additional individuals being involved in the crime. The mother’s arrest marks a crucial step in the ongoing investigation, as authorities work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police Response and Investigation

The discovery of the children’s bodies on the morning of Dussehra prompted a swift response from law enforcement. Senior officers, including the Circle Officer and Additional Superintendent of Police, arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation. Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath noted that the presence of a large crowd complicated efforts to maintain order while preserving vital evidence.

To ensure a thorough investigation, a dog squad, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, and a Mobile Officer of Investigation (MOB) team were deployed to gather evidence. Multiple teams were formed to conduct an extensive search of the surrounding fields, which ultimately led to a crucial lead within six hours.

This lead enabled investigators to identify the mother as the primary suspect and provided details regarding the crime’s location and method. Preliminary findings suggest that the alleged murder took place inside the family home, with the suspected weapon and other material evidence secured for further examination.

Post-Mortem and Legal Proceedings

The bodies of the twin boys underwent post-mortem examinations conducted by a medical board. Their family is now in the process of arranging the children’s last rites, which will be held following the completion of the legal formalities. An FIR has been registered based on the family’s complaint, and the investigation continues as police seek to unravel the full extent of the incident.

Authorities are also questioning other individuals who may have been involved in the alleged conspiracy. As the investigation unfolds, police are committed to uncovering the truth behind this tragic event and ensuring that justice is served.

This case has drawn significant attention from the community, highlighting the complexities surrounding familial relationships and societal expectations. As investigators work diligently to gather more evidence, the focus remains on understanding the motivations behind this heartbreaking incident.
