Madras High Court Rejects Tamannaah Bhatia’s Appeal in Unauthorised Image Use Case

The Madras High Court has dismissed an appeal from actress Tamannaah Bhatia concerning a case against Power Soaps Limited. The actor sought compensation of Rs. 1 crore due to the alleged unauthorised use of her images by the company after the expiry of a commercial agreement. In her pursuit of relief, Bhatia formally approached the court, seeking Rs. 1 crore in damages along with a permanent injunction aimed at preventing the company from further exploitation of her images.

The Division Bench, consisting of Justices P Velmurugan and K Govindarajan Thilakavadi, upheld this earlier ruling, confirming that Bhatia’s appeal lacked merit.
