Kejriwal has accused the Indian government of yielding to pressure from former US President Donald Trump to purchase ethanol for blending in petrol. Kejriwal has previously reached out to Modi via letter to discuss these pressing concerns but reported receiving no reply.

In his communication, he had requested that both pure petrol and E20 fuel be made available at fuel stations and urged for a reduction in the price of ethanol-blended petrol. Malhotra accused Kejriwal of entering a contest with the Congress party concerning who could claim the title of “Number 1 anarchist”. He suggested that Kejriwal was attempting to mimic Congress’s recent protest at Modi’s residence, and he alleged that the AAP leader was artificially creating a conflict while trying to portray himself as a victim.
