GTA 6 Pre-Orders Launch In India With Pricing and Editions Details

The CSR Journal Magazine

Rockstar Games has commenced pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most awaited video games on a global scale. The pre-orders for GTA 6 started on June 25, 2026, simultaneously in India and around the world. The game is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series SX, allowing gamers in India to secure their copies through both online and select physical retail outlets.

Pre-orders went live at midnight local time on June 25, making it accessible for Indian gamers who are eager to join the latest chapter in the iconic franchise. The availability of the game coincides with its global launch, indicating a simultaneous release strategy by Rockstar Games.

Pricing and Editions Of GTA 6

GTA 6 is currently offered in two editions: the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at Rs 5,999 in India and $79.99 in the United States. In contrast, the Ultimate Edition retails at Rs 7,499 in India and $99.99 in the US. This pricing positions GTA 6 slightly above the industry norm of $70 for major titles.

The Ultimate Edition comprises various in-game bonuses, including exclusive vehicles, outfits, weapons, and additional content related to the narrative of characters Jason and Lucia. Players can expect new items to unlock progressively as they advance through each chapter of the game.

Pre-orders for both editions made before November 20 will come with the Vintage Vice City Pack, which is a collection of retro items themed around the 1980s. Additionally, those who pre-order digitally will have access to pre-loading from November 12, one week ahead of the official launch date. It is noteworthy that the physical edition will not include a disc; instead, it will contain a digital download code.

Technical Aspects and Platform Availability

While GTA 6 will be available on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series SX, Sony has emphasised that the PlayStation 5 could provide the optimal gaming experience. The company claims that the game will utilise the PS5’s ultra-high-speed SSD for nearly instantaneous loading times, thus ensuring smoother navigation through the game’s expansive environments such as Vice City and the state of Leonida.

Moreover, the PS5 controller’s built-in speaker is expected to enhance key moments in the game, supported by haptic feedback, while the console’s Tempest 3D Audio technology aims to create a more immersive audio experience that enhances gameplay. However, there has been no mention of a PS5 Pro in relation to GTA 6, leaving certain details regarding potential enhanced capabilities unaddressed.

PC gamers currently face uncertainty as Rockstar has yet to announce a specific launch date for the PC version. Historically, the PC versions of Rockstar games tend to launch approximately 12 to 18 months after their console counterparts, but this has not been officially confirmed for GTA 6.

It is also important for gamers to note that the initial release of GTA 6 will focus on single-player gameplay, with GTA Online expected to follow later. There have been reports of scams targeting eager fans, with fraudulent emails claiming to offer early access or beta testing opportunities. Players are advised to disregard such messages, as no official beta programme has been announced and genuine invitations are not being circulated via email.
