CSR News: MoU Signed for Advance Medical Research and Knowledge Sharing

Aston University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with hospital chain Max Healthcare India for various joint projects including research and development, staff training and knowledge exchange.

The MoU was signed by Aston University’s Professor Osama Khan, deputy vice-chancellor (academic) and Dr Vinita Jha, director – research & academics at Max Healthcare, during a visit by the Max Healthcare team to the University.

Max Healthcare India owns and operates hospitals and healthcare facilities at various locations across the country.

The joint endeavours planned by the partners include collaborative research projects for communicable and non-communicable human diseases with basic, translational and clinical research, and exploring joint funding.

A key part of the collaboration will be sharing knowledge and developing networks. Ths will allow information sharing and communication between scientists, epidemiologists, data analysts, clinicians, public health and industry professionals in mutual research areas. The partners will develop opportunities for joint training, fellowships and exchange visits, and hope to organise joint research symposia, conferences and meetings.
