Previously, JioPC was exclusively available to users of JioHome broadband. However, it is now accessible to all consumers across India, irrespective of their telecom or broadband provider. JioPC promises up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for older computers that are between three to four years old, catering to those facing storage limitations or performance issues with contemporary software.

To accommodate different user needs, Jio has rolled out two subscription plans. The standard JioPC package includes 4 vCPUs, 8GB of RAM, and 500GB of cloud storage, priced at Rs 1,000 for two months, Rs 2,000 for five months, or Rs 4,000 for a duration of 10+2 months. The alternative, JioPC Ultra, offers 8 vCPUs, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of cloud storage, costing Rs 1,200 for two months, Rs 2,500 for five months, or Rs 5,000 for 10+2 months.

The setup for JioPC is designed to be user-friendly, reportedly taking less than five minutes without requiring any data migration or new hardware installations. This simplicity allows users to bypass the usual complexities associated with setting up new computers.

Expanding the Usage of JioPC

In addition to traditional laptops and desktops, Jio has extended the functionality of JioPC to be accessible via compatible web browsers, meaning users are not restricted to devices with high specifications. Notably, there is also the option to use JioPC on a television through a Jio Set-Top Box, along with a keyboard and mouse, effectively turning the TV into a basic computing device.
