Kareena Kapoor has disclosed her feelings about a significant decision from her youth that she wishes she had altered. The actor admitted to regretting not completing her education in favour of pursuing a career in the film industry. She made her debut in Bollywood with the film “Refugee” in 2000, where she appeared alongside Abhishek Bachchan. At the time of filming, she was just 19 years old and turned 20 when the movie was released.

In a conversation, Kareena revealed, “I never finished my education, and that was something that kind of stayed with me. Although I had the opportunity, I got into movies and didn’t study any further after Class XI. I understand that many might mock that or share their opinions, but I wanted to establish myself as an actor. Pursuing acting was my aspiration, and I followed my heart.”

She further remarked, “Education is something I do regret not completing. This is why I encourage my boys to focus on their education first and then follow their dreams.” Kareena expressed a deep emotional connection to this issue when UNICEF approached her, as she felt strongly about supporting young girls’ education in India. This initiative aligned with her own longstanding regret regarding her educational choices.

Kareena Kapoor’s Academic Background

Before commencing her acting career, Kareena attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and subsequently moved to Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun. Reports suggest that she then enrolled in a commerce programme at Mithibai College in Mumbai but did not complete her degree. In addition, she participated in a three-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard Summer School. Kareena has previously mentioned that she once contemplated pursuing a law degree before ultimately deciding on a career in acting.
