In a public statement, CM Sai expressed his sorrow over the loss of life, labelling the attack as “deeply painful and heart-wrenching.” He strongly condemned the killing of the workers, describing it as a brutal act of terror. The Chief Minister’s remarks emphasised the government’s commitment to support the families affected by this tragedy.

Upon learning about the attack, CM Sai took to social media platform X to express his sentiments, calling the incident “cowardly” and “heartbreaking.” His words reflect the deep concern within the state regarding the safety of citizens, particularly those who travel for work in high-risk areas.

Government Measures and Assistance

In response to the tragic event, the Chhattisgarh government has announced financial aid of Rs 20 lakh for each family of the deceased workers. This assistance aims to provide some relief amid the overwhelming circumstances faced by the families. CM Sai stated that he has directed officials to ensure that all necessary support is offered promptly to the victims’ families and that proper treatment is continued for the injured laborer.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the government is actively monitoring the situation and will ensure that officials receive necessary instructions to provide aid to the affected families. He reassured the public that the government stands firmly with those who have suffered due to this attack.

Furthermore, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister expressed his condolences, offering prayers for a swift recovery of the injured. His remarks underline the government’s desire to address both immediate and long-term needs of those impacted by the violence.

Family Appeals for Support

In the wake of this tragic incident, the family of Deepak Ratre has made an appeal to the government to expedite the return of his mortal remains. Deepak’s brother, Manoj Ratre, confirmed that they were informed of his death and have sought assistance from the administration in ensuring that his body is brought back to their village as soon as possible.

Manoj expressed the family’s distress in the aftermath of the loss, highlighting that Deepak’s death places significant strain on the family’s future. Deepak is survived by a disabled younger brother and a widowed mother, raising concerns about how they will manage without his financial support. Manoj’s plea included a request for ongoing support for their livelihood, indicating the precarious situation they now face.
