Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has granted approval for three significant projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and utility offerings in the emirate. These projects are intended to stimulate economic growth, bolster tourism, and enhance residents’ quality of life.

AI Park Development

One of the cornerstone initiatives is the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) park. This facility is designed to serve as a hub for technological innovation and development in AI, promoting research, collaboration, and enterprise within the sector. The park will likely attract both local and international tech firms and researchers, thereby contributing to Dubai’s position as a global leader in technology.

The AI park will feature advanced infrastructure, incubation centres for startups, and facilities for training professionals in the field of artificial intelligence. 8km Creek Upgrade

The second approved project focuses on the comprehensive upgrade of an 8-kilometre stretch along Dubai Creek. This revitalisation aims to improve accessibility and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area. The project will incorporate modern amenities while retaining the cultural and historical significance of the creek.

This upgrade is expected to involve the development of pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, and leisure spaces, thus promoting a more active lifestyle among residents and visitors. Additionally, it will enhance the overall waterfront experience, making it a more attractive destination for both tourism and local recreation.

Furthermore, the improved infrastructure will also aim to support local businesses through increased foot traffic and better connectivity. Sheikh Hamdan stated that this initiative underscores the government’s commitment to preserving Dubai’s heritage while enhancing its modern urban landscape.

Falcon Market Establishment

The third project entails the establishment of a Falcon Market, which is set to become a unique addition to Dubai’s diverse marketplace offerings. It will cater specifically to falcon enthusiasts and aficionados. This market reflects the cultural significance of falconry in Emirati heritage and aims to promote conservation and awareness regarding the practice.

The Falcon Market is expected to feature stalls for the sale of falcon-related goods, services, and equipment, as well as facilities for training and education. This initiative seeks to provide a dedicated space where enthusiasts can engage with each other, learn more about the sport, and partake in related activities.

By establishing this market, the Dubai government aims to honour the traditions of falconry while also promoting the conservation of the species. Sheikh Hamdan remarked that the creation of such a marketplace reflects the UAE’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage and providing platforms for both traditional and modern practices.
