Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, Peddi was developed in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers and IVY Entertainment. In North India, the film’s release was managed by Jio Studios, following the success of previous projects such as Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge, and Raja Shivaji.

The storyline of Peddi focuses on a young man’s journey through competitive sports, highlighting themes of rivalry, pride, and the burden of expectations. Ram Charan’s preparation for the role reportedly involved several physical transformations to convincingly portray a wrestler.
