Former President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife Savita Kovind participated in the festivities, alongside former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and CJI Surya Kant. The attendance of para-cricketer Aamir Hussain Lone highlighted the inclusion of individuals from diverse walks of life in the event.

Earlier that day, President Droupadi Murmu visited the National War Memorial to pay homage to the nation’s fallen heroes as part of the Independence Day observance.
