Throughout the day, the focus will be on various sectors such as roads, power, and industry, reinforcing local development and infrastructure. Notably, Modi is expected to dedicate significant segments of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway to enhance logistics and transportation between Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Focus on Infrastructure and Healthcare

In Surat, PM Modi will lay the foundation for several key infrastructure projects. These include the four-laning of important sections of National Highway 56 to improve connectivity with tribal regions and facilitate access to significant landmarks, such as the Statue of Unity. Additionally, a 200-bedded ESIC Hospital will be inaugurated, providing advanced healthcare facilities, including 24×7 emergency and trauma care services.

The Prime Minister will also oversee the inauguration of essential utility projects, including the expansion of the transmission network in Gujarat. This expansion aims to enhance power evacuation capacity under the Inter-State Transmission System, ensuring a more reliable power supply for the region.

Other significant initiatives from the Gujarat government that will be launched include modern upgrades to power distribution in Valsad, advanced effluent disposal facilities in Dahej, and important infrastructure developments at the Jambusar Bulk Drug Park. These projects are expected to foster economic growth and improve public service delivery.

Development Initiatives in Daman and Lakshadweep

In Daman, the projects totalling approximately ₹2,970 crore will enhance various sectors, including healthcare, civil aviation, and tourism. Key projects include the new NAMO Airport terminal and NAMO Hospital, which together are expected to bolster regional air connectivity and improve healthcare accessibility for around 1,500 outpatients daily.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for initiatives valued at ₹1,630 crore, which encompass an iconic bridge, Daman Convention Centre, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus. These developments are anticipated to create employment opportunities, attract investments, and boost the quality of life in the region.

Furthermore, Modi will lay the groundwork for developments worth ₹885 crore in Lakshadweep. This includes enhancing port facilities at Kalpeni and Kadmat Islands, which will enable year-round berthing of large passenger vessels and improve facilities for fishermen. These initiatives aim to promote maritime connectivity and support the socio-economic development of the islands.
