The Oppo K14 Plus has been officially launched in India, marking the addition of a new model to the brand’s K series. This smartphone is positioned as a mid-range device, focusing on providing a robust battery, high refresh rate display, and advanced camera capabilities. With its distinctive features, the phone aims to cater to a diverse range of consumers.

Specifications And Features

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, boasting a 144Hz refresh rate and capable of reaching peak brightness levels of up to 3,600 nits. The display employs an adaptive refresh rate technology that seamlessly adjusts between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz based on the content being viewed. Internally, the Oppo K14 Plus runs on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset, which comprises an octa-core arrangement of four Cortex-A78 cores operating at a maximum of 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz, supported by an Arm Mali-G615 GPU.

The device features LPDDR4X RAM along with UFS 3.1 storage configurations, available with options of 8GB RAM. Oppo has reported that the K14 Plus achieved a score exceeding one million on AnTuTu benchmarks. Additionally, the smartphone incorporates an extensive vapour chamber cooling system, measuring 5,000mm, along with a graphite sheet for enhanced thermal management.

For photography enthusiasts, the Oppo K14 Plus is fitted with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, complete with autofocus technology and optical image stabilisation (OIS). Accompanying this is a 2-megapixel Bokeh camera, allowing for creative photographic possibilities. The rear camera also supports 4K video recording, with options for 4K Ultra-Steady video under suitable conditions. On the front, a 16-megapixel Sony IMX480 camera caters to selfie and video call needs.

A significant highlight of the Oppo K14 Plus is its substantial 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. Oppo claims that users can enjoy up to 12.64 hours of gameplay at 60fps on BGMI, while mixed usage is projected to last approximately 2.95 days under tested conditions. The battery is designed to maintain at least 80 per cent of its capacity after 1,800 complete charge cycles, promising longevity and reliability.

The smartphone runs on ColorOS 16, featuring a suite of AI-driven functionalities. Its design includes a 360-degree Armour Body and is rated with multiple protection certifications, including IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66, safeguarding it against water and dust ingress. Additionally, the in-display fingerprint sensor enhances user accessibility. The device weighs around 207 grams, making it relatively lightweight for prolonged use.

Pricing And Availability

The Oppo K14 Plus has a starting price of Rs 29,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999, while the top-tier version featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs 35,999. Customers can select from two colour options: Solar Orange and Star White. Sales will commence from October 8 at 12 AM through Flipkart and the Oppo India e-store.

In celebration of the launch, buyers can avail instant discounts of up to Rs 4,000 when using leading bank cards on the first day of the sale. Furthermore, a six-month no-cost EMI option will be offered to enhance affordability. Post-discount, the effective prices for the three variants will be Rs 25,999, Rs 28,999, and Rs 31,999, respectively.
