A case of alleged forced religious conversion and fraudulent marriage has surfaced in Noida. This lead to the arrest of three individuals, including the prime accused, Raja Mian alias Ehsan. The incident came to light after the mother of a 28-year-old woman approached the Allahabad High Court, seeking her daughter’s recovery.

Acting on the court’s directive, police traced the woman to Chennai and brought her back to Noida.

Victim Lured, Identity Altered

Police investigations revealed that Raja Mian allegedly lured the woman into a relationship, coerced her into converting to Islam, and changed her name before marrying her through a fraudulent nikah ceremony. The marriage was conducted using forged documents while the woman was still legally married and had not obtained a divorce.

Family Implicated, Cleric on the Run

According to the FIR, members of Raja Mian’s family were deeply involved in the operation. His mother pretended to be the woman’s aunt, while his brother impersonated her real brother to enable the marriage.

A local cleric allegedly facilitated the fake nikah by preparing a forged nikahnama (Islamic marriage contract). The police have arrested Raja Mian, his father, and his mother. However, his brother and the cleric involved are currently absconding.

Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation

The FIR has been filed against five individuals, Raja Mian, his father, mother, brother, and the cleric. All arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody. Police have launched a search operation to locate the remaining two accused.

The investigation into the case is still ongoing, with authorities examining how the forged documents were created and used.
