MP CM Mohan Yadav Secures Rs 90,000-Crore Investment Proposals in Mumbai

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held one-on-one meetings with leading corporate heads in Mumbai on Thursday, securing investment proposals worth approximately Rs 90,000 crore across key growth sectors. The discussions focused on expanding existing industrial footprints and establishing new manufacturing units in pharmaceuticals, textiles, semiconductors, industrial gases, power transmission, tyres, information technology, and infrastructure.

According to official estimates, the investment commitments presented during the “Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh” are projected to generate 14,375 jobs in the state. Addressing corporate leaders, Chief Minister Yadav assured industrialists that the state government remains committed to providing land, electricity, water, roads, and customised incentives in a hassle-free manner.

Sectoral Breakdown And State Infra Pitch

A sectoral analysis of the proposed investments reveals that renewable energy attracted the largest share at Rs 71,289 crore. The textile sector received proposals worth Rs 5,000 crore, while pharmaceuticals garnered Rs 2,280 crore. Real estate drew pledges totalling Rs 1,000 crore, followed by chemical manufacturing at Rs 400 crore and information technology at Rs 200 crore.

Highlighted during the discussions was Madhya Pradesh’s strategic central location, robust industrial land bank, expanding infrastructure, and availability of skilled labour. Chief Minister Yadav emphasised that transforming investment proposals into operational projects to create employment opportunities for local youth remains the top priority of his administration.

Semiconductor Gas Plant And Textile Mega-Projects

Among the standout proposals, Inox Air Products Managing Director Siddharth Jain presented a plan to set up India’s first ultra-high purity semiconductor-grade silane gas plant with an investment of Rs 1,260 crore. Scheduled to commence production by April 2029, the facility is expected to generate over 320 local jobs and achieve import substitution worth Rs 350 crore.

The company also discussed an additional Rs 1,200 crore investment for producing specialty gases for the semiconductor industry, requesting a 40-acre land parcel alongside power tariff concessions. In the textile domain, Bhilosa Industries Managing Director Sandeep Jain outlined a phased investment plan of Rs 7,500 crore centred around the PM Mitra Park in Dhar district.

The project, which aims to generate nearly 3,750 jobs, will begin with an initial capital expenditure of Rs 2,500 crore, with commercial production targeted for 2028. The company has sought 200 acres for integrated textile manufacturing and an additional 100 acres for ancillary units.

Pharma Investments And Corp Expansion Plans

The pharmaceutical sector saw major proposals, including a Rs 3,000-crore greenfield formulation project by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries in Sector-7 of Pithampur. Executive Chairman Dilip Shanghvi discussed plans to build formulation facilities targeting domestic and international markets, creating over 1,750 direct and indirect jobs.

The Chief Minister directed officials to streamline approvals and ensure water, power, and road infrastructure are delivered by December 2026. Additionally, Ipca Laboratories Managing Director Ajit Kumar Jain proposed investments worth Rs 1,080 crore, comprising Rs 1,000 crore at Dewas and Rs 80 crore at Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain, expected to yield 1,500 jobs.

Meanwhile, RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka expressed interest in expanding power transmission projects in Jabalpur through KEC International, exploring tyre manufacturing locations in Ratlam, Sagar, or Jabalpur for Ceat, and utilising plug-and-play facilities at the Ujjain IT Park for Zensar Technologies. Welspun Enterprises Managing Director Sandeep Garg discussed plans to establish a technical textile park on mill land, alongside an ongoing Rs 700-crore investment by Sintex and a Rs 150-crore MS line pipe project by Welspun Corp.
