The ‘Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’ was officially launched by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on August 7 in Chhindwara. This new campaign aims to enhance public service delivery and address longstanding grievances within the community. The initiative is designed to keep government representatives engaged with citizens throughout the state.

During the announcement, Chief Minister Yadav emphasised the campaign’s commitment to improving public services, expediting development projects, fostering citizen involvement, and devising a strategic plan for future growth. He highlighted the importance of statewide cooperation between local and central government structures in achieving these goals.

The Chief Minister articulated his enthusiasm over the campaign’s launch, asserting its role in raising awareness on vital issues while also enhancing public service and community involvement. He pointed out that the initiative would address both the resolution of outstanding complaints and the advancement of targeted government schemes.

Focus on Local Talent and Investment

Alongside service delivery, the campaign will place emphasis on recognising local talent in sectors such as natural and organic farming, entrepreneurship, sports, rural tourism, and education. The Chief Minister mentioned consultations held with local industrialists to investigate new investment opportunities and tackle challenges facing existing businesses.

He expressed a vision for the state to be adequately prepared for the upcoming “Amrit Kaal” — a term used to signify a period of significant progress. The Chief Minister believes that the benefits stemming from the campaign will be tangible and widespread, particularly as efforts to empower elected representatives at the grassroots level are strengthened.

Yadav reiterated the government’s intent to support various sectors for comprehensive development. His remarks indicated a commitment to create an environment where investment can thrive, fostering job creation and innovation.

Fridays Dedicated to Field Engagement

In an innovative approach, the Chief Minister revealed that Fridays would serve as dedicated outreach days, where officials would not be expected to work within office confines. Instead, they will be encouraged to engage directly with the public to facilitate prompt resolutions regarding their issues.

The rationale behind this decision includes minimising time spent in administrative meetings in favour of engaging with residents on the ground. CM Yadav stated that this new practice would apply across all 55 districts in the state, ensuring members of the government, including ministers and local representatives, are present in their constituencies.

Yadav conveyed that this initiative would continue every Friday until January 7, 2027, forming a critical aspect of the ‘Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’. The initiative aims to dismantle barriers to effective public service delivery, ensuring all eligible citizens can access the benefits of government welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister called upon government employees to commit wholeheartedly to serving the people, further reinforcing the administration’s focus on responsiveness and accountability in addressing the needs of its constituents.
