Meta Launches Creator Fast Track Program to Attract Influencers to Facebook

The CSR Journal Magazine

Meta has initiated a new program designed to encourage content creators to post on Facebook. Led by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the company aims to attract influencers from platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram to enhance its user engagement. The initiative is named Creator Fast Track, and it offers substantial financial incentives for eligible creators to join Facebook.

Eligibility and Payment Structure

Creators with a following of at least 20,000 on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube are eligible to participate in the program. The payment structure begins at $100 (approximately ₹9,300) for smaller creators, while individuals with 100,000 followers are set to receive $1,000 (around ₹92,000) per month. Those boasting over one million followers can earn up to $3,000 (roughly ₹2,78,000) each month, contingent on regular posting activity.

Posting Requirements for Participation

To qualify for these payments, participants must adhere to specific posting requirements. The program mandates that influencers must create and share at least 15 original reels on Facebook within a 30-day period, spaced out over a minimum of 10 days. However, it is important to note that these financial incentives are limited to a duration of three months. After this period, participants can still engage with Facebook’s content monetization program.

Motivation Behind Creator Incentives

Meta’s push to incentivize creators appears to be a strategic response to concerns that influencers have largely favored other platforms over Facebook. In March 2025, Zuckerberg acknowledged that many creators do not consider Facebook their primary platform for content sharing. He expressed that this situation presents a considerable opportunity for growth. Alongside this new initiative, Facebook Creators Vice President Yair Livne indicated that the program aims to facilitate smoother transitions for creators accustomed to other platforms.

Financial Commitment and Future Changes

Meta disclosed that it allocated nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025, reflecting a 35 percent increase from the previous year, with 60 percent of these payments directed toward content shared in reels. To enhance transparency, the company has introduced a new qualified-views metric that will allow creators to track which views are eligible for monetization. Views may not qualify for various reasons, such as the viewer interacting with the content for a very brief time.

Organizational Changes Within Meta

In addition to the Creator Fast Track program, Meta has announced the discontinuation of its metaverse platform, Horizon Worlds, following significant financial losses exceeding $80 billion. Furthermore, the company is reportedly planning to reduce its workforce by laying off more than 15,000 employees due to rising costs associated with artificial intelligence. These moves indicate a shift in Meta’s focus and strategy amidst an evolving digital landscape.
