A very shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district. A 23-year-old law student, Danish Ara, was found dead by suicide in her home in Jhansi. The incident occurred on the morning of April 9, Thursday. The victim’s family claims that she took the drastic step after returning from a local dental doctor’s home. An investigation into the matter is underway.

But, what caught the eye besides the body of the victim was a chilling message, “I QUIT”. The message written in bold capital letters with lipstick on the mirror of her room was discovered by the cops. According to reports the tragic incident unfolded just after she returned from the house of a local dentist, Dr. Asad. It is alleged that Danish Ara was in a relationship with the dentist.

Relationship Turned Sour

Danish Ara was pursuing LLB. “She met Dr. Asad around four to five months ago during a dental consultation”, stated the victim’s family. Meanwhile the two grew close, and Asad allegedly promised to marry her soon.

However, the situation took a drastic turn as he got engaged to another woman. Following Asad’s engagement Danish became deeply distressed. The victim’s family further claimed that Asad’s decision to get engaged to another woman hurt Ara and strained their relationship.

Danish’s mother also alleged that on the day of the incident, Danish was invited to Asad’s house where his entire family was present. She claims that Danish was locked in a room, her phone and vehicle keys were taken, and she was physically assaulted. The family further alleges that they were later called to the location of the event and found her crying uncontrollably.

Family Alleges Mental Torture and Assault

Her mother said, “She was called to their house that morning. The whole family was there. They locked her in a room, took away her mobile phone and vehicle keys, and even assaulted her,” said her mother, breaking down. Later, they called her father and grandfather as well. When they met her, she was crying uncontrollably. He had promised to marry her, but instead got engaged elsewhere. This wasn’t the first time he has ruined the lives of other girls too.”

“He misled my daughter under the pretence of treatment. The moment she returned home from his place, she went into her room and killed herself. She wrote ‘I QUIT’ on the mirror before dying,” said the mother.

Meanwhile the victim’s grandfather added, “We were called to the clinic where several people, including women, were surrounding her. We didn’t realize what was happening. The next morning, when we entered her room, she was hanging. It was a complete shock.

Statement of the Police

The local police were informed by a neighbor after Danish was found hanging in her room. Officers from Prem Nagar police station immediately arrived at the scene. The officers removed the body, and sent it for postmortem examination.

Circle Officer Laxmikant Gautam confirmed, “On April 9, As soon as information was received about the suicide of a young woman. A team was dispatched immediately. The body has been sent for autopsy and further investigation is ongoing.”

However, as the investigation proceeds, Danish’s family is seeking justice and demanding strict action against Dr. Asad and his family, holding them accountable for allegedly driving her to take the extreme step.
