Indian Women’s 4x100m Relay Team Clinches Gold at Asian Relay Championships

The Indian women’s 4x100m relay team has achieved a remarkable victory, clinching the gold medal at the Asian Relay Championships held in Shaoxing, China, on June 25, 2026. Overcoming a lively home crowd, the team demonstrated exceptional technique and teamwork, finishing with a season-best time of 43.85 seconds. This performance outpaced the Chinese team, who secured the silver medal with a time of 44.09 seconds, while Thailand followed closely behind to take the bronze with 44.11 seconds in a dramatic finish.

The triumphant Indian quartet consisted of SS Sneha, Sudeshna Shivankar, Tamanna, and veteran anchor Srabani Nanda. The women’s team finished in fourth place with a time of 3:34.88, while the men placed fifth at 3:05.33. Vietnam’s team dominated the longer events, taking home gold medals in both categories.
