Himachal Congress Demands Supreme Court-Monitored Probe into Ram Mandir Trust Donation Theft

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Himachal Pradesh Congress has called for a Supreme Court-monitored investigation regarding alleged financial misconduct within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Senior Congress leader Pawan Bansal made this demand on July 11 during a press briefing in Shimla, asserting that the situation involves significant issues related to the trust’s management of donations intended for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Bansal described the matter as a “social” issue rather than a political one, highlighting that it concerns the faith of millions of devotees. He remarked that these individuals have selflessly contributed towards the temple construction, and any misuse of their donations must be addressed properly. His statements reflect growing concerns over the transparency and accountability of the trust’s operations.

Additionally, Bansal called for the dissolution of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, indicating that its current structure may no longer be suitable for handling the financial and administrative responsibilities it bears. He emphasised that any potential mismanagement undermines the trust’s objectives and the faith that people have placed in it.
