Producer Shailendra Singh has recounted an extraordinary experience he had with Bollywood actor Salman Khan at the latter’s residence in Galaxy Apartments. During a casual visit, Shailendra discovered Salman calmly consuming biryani while undergoing medical treatment for hair restoration. This encounter was shared by Shailendra in a recent episode of the podcast Cyrus Says, hosted by Cyrus Broacha.

The incident took place several years ago during a typical Monday night gathering at Salman’s home, a tradition that included close friends and associates. What began as a routine social engagement quickly transformed into a remarkable moment when Shailendra observed Salman eating while receiving injections on his scalp.

Shailendra detailed how Salman preferred to dine while gazing at a mirror positioned in front of the dining table, explaining that it was a quirky habit of the actor. This setup meant that while seated next to him, they would communicate through the reflection in the mirror.

Medical Treatment Conducted Casually

Shailendra couldn’t help but express his curiosity and inquired about the unusual scene unfolding before him. Salman’s nonchalant response was, “There’s a price to pay to be a star, bro,” before he resumed his biryani. It became clear to Shailendra that Salman was engaged in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, a technique used for treating hair thinning that was not as commonly recognised at the time.

The producer elaborated on the procedure itself, mentioning that it involved drawing blood, which was then processed in a lab to enhance its components. Shailendra noted that this treatment was somewhat controversial back then, as it was considered illegal at that time.

PRP Therapy Becomes Common Among Actors

Shailendra further claimed that the popularity of PRP therapy has notably risen among actors since that evening. He was previously unaware of its significance, but now sees many celebrities opting for such treatments. He mentioned other stars, like Hrithik Roshan, who are also reportedly utilising hair restoration methods as they age and experience hair thinning.

The methodology behind PRP therapy involves processing an individual’s blood to concentrate platelets, which are then injected into the scalp. The growth factors contained in the platelet-rich plasma are believed to foster hair follicle activity and encourage hair regrowth.

As for Salman Khan’s ongoing projects, he is set to appear in the film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and featuring Chitrangada Singh. Additionally, he will be in SVC63, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, marking his inaugural collaboration on screen with actress Nayanthara. This upcoming film is being produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and is anticipated for release during the Eid festivities.
