Haryana Woman and Lover Murder Husband, Crush His Face, Dump Body on Tracks

The CSR Journal Magazine

A brutal murder in Haryana’s Faridabad remained concealed for nearly two months after it was staged to look like a railway accident. Police have now arrested a woman and her alleged lover for killing her husband, crushing his face to destroy his identity, and abandoning his body on railway tracks to mislead investigators.

The incident occurred on November 30, 2025, but came to light only after sustained investigation and a missing person complaint filed weeks later.

Body Found, Identity a Mystery

On December 1, railway authorities discovered a severely mutilated body on tracks near the Mewala Maharajpur area of Faridabad. The victim’s face was crushed beyond recognition, leading police to initially believe he had died after being hit by a passing train.

Due to the condition of the body and lack of identification documents, the case was registered as an accidental death. The remains were preserved at a post-mortem facility while police made repeated attempts to establish the man’s identity.

Missing Complaint Sparks Breakthrough

The investigation took a decisive turn on January 18, when Sunny, the victim’s brother, approached Surajkund police station to report his sibling missing. An FIR was registered, and investigators compared the missing person’s details with unidentified bodies preserved at the mortuary.

The body was eventually identified as Suman, an auto-rickshaw driver from Godda district in Jharkhand, based on clothing and physical features. Sunny also raised suspicion about his sister-in-law’s conduct and her alleged relationship with another man.

Affair Allegedly Led to Murder Plot

During questioning, police uncovered that Suman had discovered his wife Anjani alias Kavita (29) was involved in an extramarital relationship with Riazul (30), a resident of Malda district, West Bengal.

According to investigators, the revelation strained the marriage and led the woman and her partner to allegedly plan Suman’s murder. Police described the crime as premeditated and carefully executed to divert suspicion.

Stone Attack and Staged Accident

Police stated that on November 30, the accused lured Suman to the Mewala Maharajpur area, made him consume alcohol, and attacked him near the railway tracks. He was allegedly struck on the head with a stone, killing him on the spot.

To erase his identity and create the illusion of a railway mishap, the accused allegedly placed his face on the tracks so it would be crushed by passing trains. The body was then left at the site to support the accident narrative.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

A Crime Branch team from the DLF unit detained Anjani and Riazul after tracking their movements. Police revealed that Anjani had left for Jharkhand shortly after the crime and later returned to Faridabad, raising further suspicion.

Both accused reportedly confessed during interrogation and were formally arrested. They were produced before a local court and remanded to four days of police custody.

Suman and Anjani had been married for nearly 15 years and had two children. Police say further investigation is underway to reconstruct the sequence of events and gather corroborative evidence.
