Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Teased Ahead of EICMA 2026 Debut

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is set to make its global debut at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, in November 2026. A teaser poster has hinted at this event, featuring map coordinates that point directly to the centre of Milan, where the annual exhibition takes place. This marks a significant moment for the brand as it prepares to unveil this much-anticipated adventure motorcycle.

The Himalayan 750 was first showcased in India during Royal Enfield’s inaugural Himalayan Base Camp event held in Ladakh. This event also saw the launch of the Himalayan 440. Although the showcased model remains in a pre-production state, it closely resembles the final production version. An official launch in India is anticipated either in late November 2026 during the Motoverse event or in the first quarter of 2027.

Design and Features of the Himalayan 750

The Himalayan 750 retains the upright stance characteristic of its predecessor, the Himalayan 450, while adopting a more robust design. It features a larger front fairing, enhanced fuel tank extensions, and a taller windscreen, indicating a focus on long-distance touring capabilities. The motorcycle is equipped with familiar LED headlamps from other Royal Enfield models and a cleaner rear layout, integrating the brake lights into the indicator assemblies.

The motorcycle showcased in Ladakh is fitted with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, equipped with Vredestein Centauro dual-purpose tyres. Additionally, test mules have been observed with cross-spoke wheels, suggesting that Royal Enfield may offer various wheel configurations to cater to different off-road preferences.

The Himalayan 750 is expected to feature a TFT instrument cluster, similar to that of the Himalayan 450, which will likely provide smartphone connectivity, call and message notifications, and navigation based on Google Maps. The switchgear includes a cruise control button on the right-hand side and a joystick on the left for operating the TFT display, along with a rotary ignition switch and a button that may relate to riding modes.

Engine Specifications and Performance Expectations

The Himalayan 750 will be powered by an all-new 750cc parallel-twin engine, which is anticipated to share its basic architecture with the existing 650cc parallel-twin platform. This larger engine is expected to feature revised internals and tuning aimed at enhancing performance, efficiency, and weight management. While official power and torque figures have yet to be announced, estimates suggest an output of approximately 50-55 bhp and 60-65 Nm of torque.

A six-speed gearbox is expected, with modified gear ratios designed to complement the motorcycle’s touring-oriented character. Furthermore, the Himalayan 750 is likely to adopt a two-into-one exhaust arrangement, akin to the Bear 650. This combination of features aims to enhance the overall riding experience.

Chassis, Suspension, and Braking Features

Unlike the Himalayan 450, the Himalayan 750 is expected to utilise a dedicated frame and swingarm tailored for its larger twin-cylinder powertrain. It will also be the first twin-cylinder motorcycle from Royal Enfield to incorporate a monoshock rear suspension setup. The front suspension will feature inverted forks with compression and preload adjustments, while the rear unit will include remote preload adjustment.

Braking will be managed by twin front discs and a single rear disc, providing adequate stopping power. The combination of a dedicated chassis, long-travel suspension, and 19/17-inch wheels indicates a motorcycle designed to balance highway stability with the capability to navigate rough roads and moderate off-road terrain.

As the Himalayan 750 gears up for its global debut, further details regarding its specifications, features, and pricing are expected to emerge in the near future. Positioned above the Himalayan 450, this motorcycle aims to offer enhanced performance and touring capability, appealing to riders who frequently undertake long journeys while still desiring the versatility to explore unpaved routes.
