A 45-year-old domestic worker was killed at a residence in East Kailash, New Delhi. Authorities were alerted to the scene under the jurisdiction of the Amar Colony Police Station. The victim, identified as Meena, was found deceased when police arrived.

The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder, recovering both the cricket bat and knife believed to have been used in the crime. During preliminary questioning, the accused confessed to his involvement in the assault.

Authorities have registered a case under the applicable legal provisions and have taken the suspect into custody. Investigators are continuing to interrogate him to discern the motivation behind the brutal attack on the victim. Separate Human Trafficking Operation by Delhi Police

In a different matter, Delhi Police have reported the dismantling of a significant human trafficking syndicate involved in the illegal sale of newborn babies. Authorities apprehended twelve individuals, including a female suspect alleged to be the ringleader of the network.

This woman, who purportedly operates a nursing home, has been implicated in the trafficking operation. Police are in the process of verifying her credentials as a medical professional, as there is uncertainty regarding her qualifications to practice medicine.

During this operation, law enforcement successfully rescued five newborns, varying in ages from just five days to four months. The raids carried out by police established that more than twenty infants might have been trafficked through the network, thereby highlighting the alarming issue of child trafficking in the area.

The investigation remains active, as police seek to understand the full extent of the syndicate’s activities and are committed to ensuring that those responsible face the legal consequences of their actions. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to such criminal operations to come forward to assist in the ongoing efforts to combat trafficking.
