Dhurandhar: The Revenge Shatters Premiere Records with Rs 52 Crore Collection

The CSR Journal Magazine

Ranveer Singh’s latest film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has made a significant impact at the box office, achieving record-breaking collections from its paid premiere showings. The film has generated over Rs 52 crore in India, surpassing the opening figures of its predecessor. The Hindi-original directed by Aditya Dhar had premiere screenings across more than 12,000 venues nationwide. As per tracking sources, the first weekend net collection at the domestic box office stands at approximately Rs 44 crore, with the gross revenue totaling Rs 52 crore from 12,292 screenings across the country.

Surpassing Previous Records

This second installment of the franchise has outperformed the first film’s opening day collection of Rs 33 crore. Despite high ticket prices for the premiere showings, excitement around the film remained high. Scheduled shows across India were intended to start at 5:30 PM on March 18; however, many were canceled due to delays in content delivery, prompting theaters to issue refunds to customers. Despite these inconveniences, audiences flocked to cinemas to view Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Initial metrics suggest that the film is set to continue its box office dominance and may surpass the success of the original film. Dhurandhar: The Revenge officially releases in theaters worldwide today and is expected to maintain strong momentum in its opening week. In addition to Ranveer Singh, the film features an ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

The first part of the franchise, which debuted in December 2025, was a global success, amassing Rs 1,300 crore in revenue. This record-breaking performance sets a high benchmark for Dhurandhar: The Revenge as it embarks on its theatrical run, aiming to secure its position as a landmark film in Indian cinema.
