A Delhi Police head constable and his wife were discovered deceased in their Narela flat on Saturday, leading to an ongoing investigation into the events surrounding their deaths. The individuals have been identified as Monu, a 40-year-old head constable stationed in the North District, and his 35-year-old spouse, Meenu. Law enforcement officials have stated that they are actively working to determine the circumstances of the incident.

According to police reports, a call was received around 1 pm regarding a locked flat in the Narela area. Upon arrival, officers, in collaboration with the Fire Department, managed to gain entry into the residential unit. The bodies of Monu and Meenu were located in the same room within the flat.

At the time of the incident, the couple’s two children were reportedly away from home. Upon their return, they found the property secured from the inside. After several attempts to elicit a response through knocking, neighbours gathered to investigate the situation further.

Neighbours looking through a window noted that Meenu was lying lifeless, while Monu was reportedly found hanging. However, police have not confirmed the precise order of events or the specific circumstances resulting in the couple’s deaths. The investigation remains active as authorities work to piece together the timeline.

Forensic Examination And Further Investigations

In light of the incident, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory, alongside a crime investigation unit and senior police officials, visited the scene to conduct a thorough examination. The deceased have been transported to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital for post-mortem analyses, aimed at ascertaining the cause of death.
