APM Terminals Pipavav has successfully conducted an eye check-up camp benefiting 221 villagers from Rajula and surrounding talukas in collaboration with Sudarshan Netralaya, Amreli, and Gayatri Parivar Trust. This initiative highlights APM Terminals Pipavav’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community health and well-being.
Since 2017, APM Terminals Pipavav has organized bimonthly eye check-up camps as part of its continuous health care efforts. These camps provide on-site Outpatient Department (OPD) treatment and help identify patients who require advanced care. Those diagnosed with conditions such as cataracts and other eye diseases are referred to Sudarshan Netralaya for free surgery, ensuring critical eye health needs are addressed without financial burden. Projects span over 75 villages across Rajula, Khambha, and Zafarabad Talukas. Since their launch, these camps have provided OPD treatments to more than 5,000 villagers and facilitated over 1,000 cataract surgeries. The recent eye check-up camp demonstrates the company’s sustained efforts to support and uplift the local population.
In addition to these eye check-up camps, APM Terminals Pipavav supports the local community through various health initiatives. These include a Port Medical Center and a Mobile Health Unit that regularly visits Rampara, Bherai, Shiyalbet, Thavi, Divalo, Devpara, Padar and Truck Parking Area. The company also maintains an Advanced Life Support Ambulance, equipped to handle emergencies and transport patients to hospitals. Each month, over 2,000 villagers benefit from these health services, emphasizing APM Terminal Pipavav’s dedication to providing accessible and comprehensive health care.
The Company’s commitment extends beyond medical care, actively engaging in health and nutrition awareness programs. By addressing both immediate medical needs and long-term health education, APM Terminals Pipavav remains devoted to its mission of delivering quality health care and contributing positively to the lives of the people it serves.
