During this visit, Ruby’s conduct raised suspicions, prompting further inquiries. During the search, investigators focused on the bathroom, where newly laid tiles and plaster appeared out of place. They suspected that the area might conceal evidence of a crime. Digging beneath the bathroom floor, police found the decomposed remains of Surendra, leading to outrage and disbelief within the local community.

Initial findings suggest that Ruby had buried the body shortly after the murder. Authorities believe she covered the remains with soil before sealing the area with tiles and plaster to conceal the act. Police are now exploring the possibility of accomplices in this alleged crime, indicating that the investigation may broaden to include others who might have assisted Ruby.

Ruby’s Confession and Ongoing Investigation

Following her arrest, Ruby reportedly confessed to murdering her husband. Investigators revealed that she had even arranged for renovation work in the bathroom prior to Surendra’s disappearance. The investigation is ongoing, with police stating they will determine the full extent of the events leading to the murder only after analysing all forensic evidence collected from the scene.

Anil Sharma commented on his brother’s regular consumption of alcohol, which often led to disputes between the couple. He mentioned that Ruby was the one who had alerted the family after Surendra’s disappearance and had filed the missing person’s report. The family, who searched extensively for weeks, was left in shock after the police uncovered the truth.

Law enforcement officials have conducted a postmortem examination on Surendra’s body, and a forensic team continues to collect evidence from the household. Authorities have assured the public that they will take every aspect of the case into consideration as they determine next steps, including potential legal action against Ruby and any others linked to the crime.
