The investigation into the murder of Delhi realtor Yuvraj Singh Manchanda has uncovered a significant financial dispute involving Anya Vats, who has been arrested in connection with the case. Vats allegedly informed police that she lent Rs 1 crore to Manchanda, claiming the amount was never returned. Officials are now probing the nature of this transaction to ascertain if it is connected to any previous cheating cases involving Vats.

Authorities have raised concerns regarding whether this financial disagreement played a role in the alleged murder. Both Vats and her husband, Sanyam Sachdeva, are facing charges in connection with Manchanda’s death after this dispute came to light. Sequence of Events Surrounding the Murder

Reports indicate that the SUV allegedly used to transport Manchanda’s body was brought to the residential society where Vats resides on September 6, the day he went missing. According to police, the vehicle was moved out later that day before being parked in a nearby location. The investigation further revealed that Manchanda’s body was discarded in a drain in Gurugram on September 8, with Vats and Sachdeva reportedly fleeing the city shortly thereafter.

Officials also noted that the residential society does not have designated parking facilities, allowing vehicles solely for short-term pick-up and drop-offs with hourly charges for longer stays. CCTV footage from the vicinity captured the SUV being moved out on September 7 and later parked, raising questions about the couple’s activities during this period.

Vats and Sachdeva were apprehended in Uttarakhand after the Delhi Police traced their whereabouts via technical surveillance methods. Investigators are currently delving deeper into the couple’s relationship with Manchanda to clarify their motivations and actions leading up to his disappearance and eventual death.

Forensic Reports and Procedural Concerns

The post-mortem of Manchanda was carried out by Gurugram Police, yet the report has not yet been submitted to the Delhi authorities. Investigators are awaiting this document to establish the cause of death and gain additional forensic insights. The failure to share the autopsy report has raised concerns regarding the transparency and efficiency of the investigative process.

Manchanda’s body was discovered in a drain within the jurisdiction of the Badshahpur police station on September 10. Family members have expressed their dissatisfaction, alleging they were not informed properly about the recovery of the body, which they claim was cremated on September 14, prior to any clarity on its identification.

As the investigation unfolds, the focus remains on the entangled financial disputes, vehicle movements, and pending forensic analyses. Authorities continue to examine the relationships between the individuals involved to unearth any additional motives that could have led to this grave incident.
