The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has delivered a strong message aimed at ensuring industrial stability in the state, particularly in the wake of recent violent protests by workers in Noida. Speaking at the Tata Motors plant in Lucknow on Wednesday, Adityanath highlighted the need to prevent any external parties from interfering in the operations of corporate entities and manufacturing facilities. This assertion comes shortly after the government sanctioned an interim wage increase, which includes a 21 per cent raise for workers in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar, the area encompassing Noida.

Zero Tolerance for Disruptive Forces

While praising the industrial advancements at the Lucknow facility, where he inaugurated the rollout of 10 lakh vehicles, including a high-tech electric bus capable of travelling 200 km on a single charge, Adityanath reiterated the importance of internal stability within organisations. He stated that avoiding external disruptions is crucial to maintaining a strong industrial framework. “Those who disrupt are many, but those who build are very few,” he affirmed. He firmly advised against allowing any outside elements to meddle in the affairs of manufacturing units, urging workers to consider their workplaces as an extended family. According to the Chief Minister, unity and mutual trust among employees serve as protective measures against external agitation.

Adityanath further stated that the core of any successful organisation lies in effective teamwork, gratitude, and honesty, all of which are vital for resisting external pressures. This emphasis on collaboration aligns with his vision of fostering a conducive atmosphere for industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh, which he regards as pivotal for the state’s transformation into a global manufacturing hub.

Development Under Double-Engine Governance

In his address, Adityanath reflected on the condition of Uttar Pradesh before the implementation of the double-engine governance model. He noted that the state had struggled with its identity, particularly hindered by inadequate connectivity and security issues. “It was challenging to differentiate between well-maintained roads and potholes, which deterred potential investors,” he remarked, outlining the stark contrast to the present scenario. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he indicated, Uttar Pradesh has undergone significant positive changes.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the improvements in law and order alongside modern infrastructure developments which have established a robust basis for forthcoming growth. He reported that Uttar Pradesh now comprises approximately 55 per cent of the nation’s expressways, with expectations for that share to increase to 60 per cent following the anticipated inauguration of the Ganga Expressway later this month.

Adityanath’s remarks during his speech reflect a concerted effort to promote Uttar Pradesh as an emerging industrial powerhouse, while simultaneously advocating for unity within the workforce. The ongoing initiatives and increasing investments in infrastructure signal a shift in the state’s industrial landscape, aiming to attract both domestic and foreign investors. The emphasis on self-reliance and internal cohesion ties into broader governmental objectives, reinforcing the state’s positioning in the competitive market for manufacturing and urban development.
