Who is Shaheena Shahid? Was she helping JeM’s female wing to grow in India?

The CSR Journal Magazine

Is Jaish-e-Mohammed using its women’s brigade to give a new form to terrorism? Is that brigade now active in North India? During the investigation of the Faridabad explosives seizure and Delhi car blast cases, a woman doctor came to the attention of the investigators. This woman suspect is closely involved in this huge terrorist activity. From there, it is being assumed that Masood’s ‘zenana jehadis’ have become active on Indian soil.

The Delhi blast case has brought to the headlines the name of Shaheena Shahid, who is suspected to be playing a leading role in forming the ‘women’s wing’ of the Pakistani terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Shahid, based in Lucknow is a doctor by profession and was arrested after JeM’s terror module in Faridabad was busted on Monday (November 10) and an assault rifle was recovered from her car.

On Monday, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Haryana Police arrested a Kashmiri doctor from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on charges of putting up posters in support of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar. After questioning the doctor, a car and deadly weapons were recovered from the accused’s rented house. While investigating, the police came to know that the suspicious car belongs to a female doctor namely Shaheena Shahid.

Shaheena was reportedly associated with Dr Mohammed Umar, who is believed to have been driving the car that exploded in Delhi on Monday evening, leaving 13 people dead.

Who is Shaheena Shahid?

While police and central intelligence agencies like NIA are probing Delhi’s Red Fort car blast and its links to the Faridabad module, shocking details have emerged such as radicalisation of educated professionals, including doctors who used their professional credentials to escape law enforcement.

What is known so far is that Shaheen was a resident of Lalbagh, Lucknow and was associated with Al-Fala University. An assault rifle was recovered from her car.

Meanwhile, a suspected militant named Muzammil Ghani alias Musaib was arrested after a large quantity of explosives and firearms were recovered from Faridabad. At least 2900 kg of explosives were recovered from two rooms of his rented house. It is to be noted that a case has been filed under the UAPA section in connection with the horrific explosion near the Red Fort on Monday. A case has been registered under sections 16, 18 of the UAPA, the Explosives Act and multiple sections of the BNS at Delhi’s Kotwali police station.

JeM’s female wing “Jamaat-ul-Mominat” active in India?

Indian army destroyed the Jaish headquarters in Bahawalpur during Operation Sindoor. It is heard that ‘Jaamat-ul-Mominaat’ is trying to spread its influence in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh Haryana and some parts of South India to create communal tension. It is trying to increase its activities in India through online networks. Its ideas are being spread through various social media platforms and WhatsApp groups. Investigators suspect that the Jamaat-ul-Mominat of Jaish-e-Mohammed is behind the huge quantity of explosives and firearms recovered from Faridabad. Currently, efforts are being made to identify each member of this women’s brigade of Jaish spread across India.

While probing the same, police arrested Shaheena Shahid, a female doctor from Lucknow in connection with the recovery of 2900 kg of explosives in Faridabad. It is learnt that she was in charge of forming “Jamaat-ul-Mominat”, the women’s brigade of Jaish-e-Mohammed.

During Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor, 11 members of Masood Azhar’s family were killed. Immediately after this, Jaish announced the formation of a new women’s brigade under the leadership of Masood Azhar’s sister Sadia to take revenge against India. Jaish started forming this organisation from Markaz-Usman-o-Ali in Bahawalpur. The name of this new women’s brigade is Jamaat-ul-Mominat.

According to sources, Shaheen Shahid was given the responsibility of that branch. Although Sadia will remain the head. Incidentally, Sadia’s husband Yusuf Azdar was the ‘mastermind’ of the Kandahar plane hijacking, who was eliminated during Operation Sindoor. It is estimated that this women’s brigade has started spreading its net in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. However, before that net can advance much further, investigators are gearing up to root out the terrorism of Masood’s ‘Zenana Jihadis’.
