Odisha T20 League 2026 to Begin on September 18 in Cuttack

Cuttack, Odisha, August 25  – The Odisha T20 League 2026 is scheduled to begin on September 18 at the iconic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The tournament will run through September 27, bringing together established and emerging cricketers from across the state.

Six Regional Franchises to Compete

The 2026 edition will feature six franchises representing different parts of Odisha: Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Kandujhar, Puri, Rourkela and Sambalpur. Their participation is expected to strengthen the regional identity of the competition while creating opportunities for local rivalries.

Platform for Emerging Cricketers

The league is designed to provide young players with valuable competitive experience and an opportunity to showcase their abilities before a wider audience. Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Sanjay Behera said the tournament can help local cricketers gain experience and take important steps forward in their careers.

Barabati Stadium Takes Centre Stage

Barabati Stadium, which has hosted international, national and state-level matches, will provide the backdrop for the tournament. Its association with major cricketing events is expected to add further significance to the competition.

Promoting Odisha’s Cricket Culture

Beyond the matches, the Odisha T20 League aims to celebrate the state’s cricketing culture and bring players from different districts together. The tournament is expected to strengthen Odisha’s domestic cricket structure while giving emerging talent greater exposure.
